Contact State Senator Michael Frerichs Reagan's Rescue is asking that you contact Illinois State Senator Michael Frerichs at www.mikefrerichs.com and ask him to support House Bill 6213, which would require a judge to impose an extended prison term if evidence is found
that the death of a child was the result of abuse. This bill, which passed the House 112-3, was a reaction to the death
of Reagan and the subsequent sentence of the man responsible for taking her life. You may also call his Danville office
at (217) 442-5252 or his Springfield office at (217) 782-2507. Please contact Mike in memory of Reagan and in observance
of Child Abuse Prevention Month in April.
Volunteer Your Time
There are numerous organizations in the Danville, Illinois, area which
rely on volunteers. Your Family Resource Connection, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and Red Cross are just a few.
Your local church or school may also offer volunteer opportunities. Check out our Links page for a few possibilities.

| Clockwise, YFRC's Tawnya Morgan, Marsha, North Ridge students Jonathan Delzell and Javon Shaw |
The Builder's Club from North Ridge Middle School
raised enough money in 2007 to donate two handmade rockers and two hobby horses, one for a boy and one for a girl, to Your
Family Resource Connection. Javon and Jonathan were the top fundraisers. This project was conducted in Reagan's
memory.
Write a Letter to the Editor
Raising
public awareness of SBS through the media is also very powerful. Our local newspapers, the Danville, Illinois Commercial-News
and the Champaign-Urbana News Gazette welcome letters to the editor. We include a Commercial-News
link.
Your Family Resource Connection Wish List
The YFRC Women's Shelter and Child's Advocacy Program put out a wish list of supplies necessary for
maintaining their programs. Please contact Tawnya Morgan at the YFRC for more details.
