Volunteer Your Time
There are numerous organizations in the Danville, Illinois, area which
rely on volunteers. Crosspoint at the Y (formerly Your Family Resource Connection), Big Brothers Big Sisters, and
Red Cross are just a few. Your local church or school may also offer volunteer opportunities. Check out our Links
page for a few possibilities.

The Builder's Club from North Ridge Middle School
raised enough money in 2007 to donate two handmade rockers and two hobby horses, one for a boy and one for a girl, to Your
Family Resource Connection. Javon and Jonathan were the top fundraisers. This project was conducted in Reagan's
memory.
Write a Letter to the Editor
Raising
public awareness of SBS through the media is also very powerful. Our local newspapers, the Danville, Illinois Commercial-News
and the Champaign-Urbana News Gazette welcome letters to the editor. We include a Commercial-News
link.

at the Y (formerly the YFRC Women's Shelter and Child's Advocacy Program) puts out a wish list of supplies necessary for maintaining their
